On the ground floor there is a large farmhouse kitchen, separate living room (with bed settee), bathroom with shower, separate shower, utility room and large rear store/cave. In front of the house is an orchard and spacious open garden where children can play safely. The level terrain is ideal for camping if extra accommodation is needed and there is ample on-site parking. • Bikes are available • There’s a phone for emergency use. In our garden we have an authentic Mongolian Yurt - 20 foot in diameter - which can be used for meditation, yoga, Tai-Chi, Shamanic work etc. I am also happy to help you organise trips to visit local sacred sites/standing stones as well as the usual tourist attractions. With advance notice I can perform sacred fires and despachos, plus offer various individual Shamanic Healing sessions. The Hamlet - The house is at the end of a private lane on the edge of Carlevaux, a small dairy farming community of around 12 houses. The main farm is to the rear of the property. The house is on the south facing slope of the beautiful valley of the River Arz and is bounded by woods and open fields. The River boasts some of the best fishing in the region - you do need a permit to fish - obtainable from our local village... Nearest Village & Towns - Rochefort en Terre, also 2 miles away, is a small mediaeval city - designated as un Petit Cité du Caractère by the Bretagne Tourist Authority immaculate & picturesque with numerous bars, restaurants, galleries & gift shops. Questembert (approximately 10 minutes drive) has 3 large supermarkets and a Monday market in its magnificent 16th Century market hall. If you want to swim - our nearest lake at Rochefort en Terre has a beach. Vannes has a modern swimming centre. On the coast you will find lovely sandy beaches and rocky coves (20 mins drive). La Baule, one of the best beaches in Europe, is an hour south at the western end of the Loire Valley. The River Vilaine offers very safe sailing. You can also sail or take a ferry to the islands or around the Golfe de Morbihan - an inland sea. The Nantes/ Brest Canal is nearby. Carnac, with its extraordinary stone alignments, is just 30 minutes away. Vannes, on the Golfe de Morbihan, is a beautiful mediaeval walled city with great shops, restaurants and a pretty, bustling yacht marina.
